There are a couple genres of music that stand out to me and that I like to listen to regularly. 70s/80s rock & pop, new wave, jazz, and some classical. There is a local station on the radio that plays classical near me that I tune into every once in a while.
Some of my Favorite Artists:
- Daryl Hall & John Oats - One of their best albums in my opinion is War Babies. A very underrated album that almost no one has heard of. Check it out!
- Carpenters - Another close favorite artist. The harmony is the biggest seller that helps the music to flow from song to song.
- The Mamas & The Papas - Comes from a similar era compared to the Carpenters, but has a bigger focus on folk music.
- Phil Collins - My two favorite albums are Face Valueand no Jacket Required
- Billy Joel - I find that his disography can vary wildly in musical style. My favorites are Glass Houses, 52nd street, and The Stranger.
- Foreigner - My favorite rock band of all time! I enjoy all of their albums pre 1990 with a personal favorite on 4 and Agent Provocateur.
- Bananarama - They have a couple albums I enjoy listening to, mainly ones from the 80s.
- Steely Dan - Still exploring more of Steely Dan's work as a friend showed me some songs a while ago. Favorite album: Gaucho
